Four Seasons Garden Club

Member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
 Federated Garden Clubs of Vermont

Meetings
Regular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month except in February.  For a list of scheduled meetings, please see the Programs page.

Purpose
The purpose of this Club is to stimulate knowledge and a love of gardening; to aid in the protection of native trees, plants and birds; to encourage and to promote civic planting and the beautification of our homes.

Club Projects
• Continue the upkeep of the 19th Century Display Garden at the Cyrus Eaton House, part of the Old Stone House Museum in Brownington, Vermont, which was designed and planted by our Club in 1980.

• Maintain the gardens at North Country Hospital, Newport, Vermont, which our Club has dedicated to the memory of Sass Kolar, an inspiring founding member. The “Plant It Pink Garden” honoring the fight against breast cancer, was awarded the National Garden Club’s Pink Trowel Award for 2011.

• Development of a Pollinator Meadow at the Bluffside Farm in Newport in partnership with the Vermont Land Trust.

• Provide holiday arrangements for senior citizens/nursing homes.

• Provide programs from the Northwoods Stewardship Center to local schools.

• Maintenance of the Watershed Native Garden along the bike path at Bluffside Farm
